ELEKS is looking for a Senior/Middle Data Engineer in Ukraine, Poland, or Croatia.
The customer is a British company producing electricity with zero carbon emissions.
The role involves building databases, data lakes, and data ingestion pipelines to deliver datasets for various projects.
The engineer will design, develop, and deploy comprehensive solutions for data and data science models, ensuring usability for both data scientists and non-technical users.
Responsibilities include developing and maintaining scalable data and machine learning solutions throughout the data lifecycle, supporting the code and infrastructure for databases, data pipelines, metadata, and code management.
The position requires collaboration with stakeholders across various departments, addressing data security, privacy, and third-party coordination.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, SQL, and ETL (data validation, data mapping, and exception handling).
A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Databricks is required.
Proficiency in Python is necessary.
Experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Athena, Glue, and Lambda is essential.
Knowledge of the Energy industry, including energy trading, utilities, and power systems, would be a plus.
Experience with Geospatial data is also a plus.
Candidates should have at least an Upper-Intermediate level of English.
