  • The Static World Perception team generates road elements that govern traffic flow for actors within the driving environment by integrating various onboard data sources such as maps, LiDAR, cameras, and GPS.
  • The role involves leading the development, maintenance, and enhancement of algorithms and systems to meet online map performance standards.
  • Responsibilities include delivering state-of-the-art online and offline mapping algorithms for L4 self-driving vehicles, contributing to the technical direction of the team, writing robust software for real-time applications, driving cross-functional features from problem statement to delivery, identifying limitations in the existing mapping system, aligning stakeholders, and leading technical discussions.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have extensive experience in architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models in real-world environments.
  • A proven track record of driving applied research projects from conception to publication or productization is required.
  • Experience in delivering perception/mapping solutions for real-time robotic applications is essential, with prior experience in sensor fusion and online mapping being highly desirable.
  • Strong software engineering skills and machine learning algorithm design experience are necessary.
  • Fluency in Python is required, along with experience in C++.
