  • The role includes advising researchers, building a deep understanding of specific research activities, developing project plans, maintaining software code, and applying numerical methods to develop custom solutions.
  • The engineer will work collaboratively with a team of developers and researchers, provide regular communications to stakeholders, and build internal code design guides.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a minimum of seven years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.

  • Strong experience in machine learning/AI research and technical support is essential.
  • A deep understanding of modern machine learning architectures and optimization techniques is necessary.
  • Proficiency in deep learning frameworks, particularly PyTorch, is required.
  • Experience with Nvidia GPU stack and HPC technologies is expected.
  • Candidates should possess detail-oriented expertise with strong problem-solving skills to support research.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • A strong team player with a service mindset who can guide researchers is preferred.

  • Completion of Harvard IT Academy specified foundational courses (or external equivalent) is preferred.
