The company is hiring a full-time Senior Mobile App Developer to lead the evolution of their mobile experience.
The role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to build, scale, and enhance The Motley Fool’s flagship mobile application using React Native and Expo.
Responsibilities include leading the design, development, and deployment of the mobile application, collaborating with design and back-end teams, building reusable components, optimizing app performance, resolving UX pain points, implementing automated testing, conducting code reviews, and contributing to agile planning and estimation.
The position requires staying current with evolving technologies and industry trends.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience in mobile app development, with strong expertise in React Native.
Proven experience in building and deploying production-grade apps for both iOS and Android using React Native and Expo is required.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and solid knowledge of mobile architecture and performance optimization is necessary.
Experience integrating RESTful APIs and managing application state using tools like Redux or MobX is essential.
Strong skills in translating Figma or Sketch designs into high-quality, pixel-perfect mobile interfaces are required.
Knowledge of component libraries and a passion for building scalable, reusable components is important.
Familiarity with mobile app testing frameworks and CI tools is expected.
Excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to work autonomously are necessary.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and a desire to continuously improve both product and process is required.
Experience with and/or a passion for investing is preferred.
