Remote Senior Mobile Engineer

Description:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms using React Native
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to development best practices
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies
• Assist Lead Developer with mobile app development strategies and execution
• Monitor mobile app performance and troubleshoot issues for optimal user experience
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for mobile app projects
• Learn and apply new technologies to meet business needs
• Make critical decisions to keep projects on track and aligned with client needs
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in React Native skills development
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
• Participate in technical interviews with new candidates
• Communicate technical issues and developments with team members and clients
• Present mobile app architecture and design documents to clients and stakeholders
• Drive improvements in mobile app development processes and practices
• Propose and evaluate approaches to technical and process problems in mobile app development
• Champion best practices in React Native development and architecture

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in mobile app development
• 3+ years of experience with React Native
• Proven track record of shipping React Native apps to both iOS and Android app stores
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, MobX)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Knowledge of offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Experience with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin/Java) development
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Open-source project contributions
• Experience with mobile app performance optimization techniques
• Knowledge of mobile app security best practices
• Familiarity with mobile app analytics and crash reporting tools
