We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in traditional networking as well as cloud networking, with a strong focus on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
You will play a critical role in optimizing and securing our hybrid cloud infrastructure while ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level network solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
You will architect and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure on AWS, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VPN, Route 53, NACLs, and Security Groups.
Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting network issues and outages will be part of your role.
You will automate network tasks using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation and Terraform.
Collaboration with DevOps, Security, and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure best practices and compliance is essential.
You will lead network-related projects and mentor junior engineers.
Documenting network configurations, processes, and updates in detail is required.
Managing network-related tools such as firewalls, load balancers, and monitoring systems is part of the job.
Staying current on new technologies and recommending improvements to support business goals is expected.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering roles is required.
A strong understanding of core networking concepts such as routing, switching, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP is essential.
Deep knowledge of AWS networking services including VPC, Subnets, NAT Gateway, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, and Transit Gateway is necessary.
Experience with cloud-native security and connectivity patterns is required.
Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, SolarWinds, and Nagios is important.
Experience with automation and scripting in languages like Python or Bash is needed.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation is required.
Knowledge of load balancing technologies such as ELB, ALB, and NLB is essential.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Preferred qualifications include experience with hybrid cloud or multi-cloud networking environments, AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty or other relevant AWS certifications, familiarity with containerized environments like Kubernetes or ECS, knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, and experience in regulated industries such as finance or healthcare.
