The Senior Network Engineer will be a key contributor in architecting, securing, and optimizing the enterprise network infrastructure for Eurofins Environmental Testing America.
This role supports dozens of laboratories and thousands of users across North America, ensuring the availability, security, and scalability of critical systems in a multi-site environment.
The position is hands-on and offers opportunities to lead initiatives, mentor staff, and work on enterprise-grade solutions in a fast-paced, high-impact setting.
Essential duties include designing scalable and secure network solutions, configuring enterprise-grade network hardware and software, implementing advanced routing and VPN configurations, and assisting with MPLS networks and QoS policies.
Responsibilities also include developing network security protocols, managing firewall rule sets, monitoring network alerts, troubleshooting performance issues, leading IT infrastructure projects, and maintaining accurate documentation of network architecture.
Requirements:
Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required.
The candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule in a 24x7x365 environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.
The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is necessary.
Travel is required for site implementation and support.
A Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, an Associate degree with 8+ years of experience, or 10+ years of equivalent hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering is required.
Strong experience with Cisco, Fortigate, and Checkpoint networking hardware and software is necessary.
Experience deploying and managing Next Generation Firewalls is required.
A deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts such as BGP, MPLS, QoS, VLANs, EIGRP, static routing, and trunking is essential.
Familiarity with SD-WAN, micro-segmentation, and modern enterprise networking trends is preferred.
Previous exposure to highly regulated environments is a plus.
The candidate must be able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced enterprise IT environment and be comfortable working with minimal supervision.
