The Senior Network Engineer will provide network support for Sysco’s initiatives in networks and automation, focusing on delivering effective and efficient network support services.
This position reports to the Network Manager and is embedded in the Sysco Global Network team.
Responsibilities include maintaining key network devices, supporting users via Service Now tickets, monitoring LAN, WAN, Load Balancing, VPN, Security, and Wi-Fi operations, and providing project status updates.
The role also involves performing operational tasks, problem isolation within the network infrastructure, participating in an on-call rotation, and supporting campus environments and remote site locations.
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems analysis, or a related field, or equivalent experience, along with relevant network certifications such as CCNP or CCIE.
Expert knowledge in at least two areas, including Load balancers, Firewalls, BGP, IBGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Security, Cloud networks, Automation, and Python programming.
A minimum of 6 years of continuous experience holding relevant certifications such as CCNP or higher.
Strong understanding of network fundamentals and extensive knowledge of network integration with various systems.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, time management, and critical thinking skills.
