Remote Senior Network Engineer – Tietoevry Create (m/f/d)

Description:

• Join Tietoevry and grow your career as a Senior Network Engineer.
• You will design, configure, and implement secure and scalable network solutions across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN environments.
• Your responsibilities include maintaining and improving network infrastructure, including routing (OSPF, BGP), switching, and wireless technologies.
• You will troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues (L2/L3) and provide 3rd line technical support.
• Monitor network performance using tools like Catalyst Center, Zabbix, and NetFlow.
• Ensure network security by configuring and managing firewalls, VPNs, identity solutions, and Cisco ISE.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to manage network operations and projects.
• Participate in the design and implementation of certificates and authentication methods (e.g., 802.1x, wired/wireless).
• Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new technologies for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• A senior-level network engineer with a deep understanding of enterprise networking and security is required.
• You must be a proactive team player with strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on experience supporting complex infrastructures in a global environment is necessary.
• You should be confident working independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• A minimum of 5+ years of experience in network engineering roles is required.
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies is essential.
• Experience with Cisco and Check Point is required, while knowledge of Juniper and Palo Alto is a plus.
• Proficiency in tools such as Cisco Catalyst Center, Zabbix, and NetFlow is necessary.
• A solid understanding of Cisco ISE, Cisco WLC, and 802.1x authentication is required.
• Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, and LAN/WAN/WLAN troubleshooting is necessary.
• Experience providing 3rd line customer support is required.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken) are essential.
