Description:

  • Madwire is seeking a Senior Node.js Software Engineer to join their team, which is known for its dynamic and collaborative work environment.
  • The position can be in-office, remote (in approved US states), or a hybrid of the two, with offices located in Fort Collins, CO.
  • The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 per year.
  • The role involves building and maintaining Marketing 360, Websites 360, and other software products.
  • Responsibilities include leading the design and implementation of performant, scalable, extensible, and secure Node.js services, debugging and monitoring existing services, and mentoring junior back-end engineers.
  • The ideal candidate is an expert troubleshooter and builder of first-class Node.js RESTful services, motivated to achieve excellence in execution, and passionate about making a difference.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of professional experience designing and implementing Node.js RESTful services.
  • Experience in developing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based Node.js services is required.
  • Proficiency with Express and/or Fastify is necessary.
  • Candidates should be able to efficiently build software based on requirements from the product team and have the ability to work with existing Node.js services to resolve bugs or build new features.
  • Pro-level debugging skills and a strong understanding of design patterns, programming paradigms, and best practices for Node.js are essential.
  • Strong database skills and a firm understanding of MySQL/PostgreSQL are required.
  • Extensive experience with unit and integration testing is necessary.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with TypeScript, familiarity with Amazon Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform, Docker & Kubernetes experience, and familiarity with Open API Specification / Swagger.
