The (Senior) Platform Engineer will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and automation for applications.
This role focuses on the speed and reliability of DevOps and the architectural depth of Platform Engineering.
Responsibilities include designing infrastructure, implementing automation, ensuring platform reliability, and guiding delivery pipelines and cloud environments.
The position is highly collaborative, bridging operations, development, and security.
Key responsibilities include managing cloud-based infrastructure (AWS), overseeing container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), and ensuring disaster recovery and high availability.
The engineer will build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure provisioning, and integrate testing and security checks into workflows.
Monitoring infrastructure and application performance through logging and observability tools is essential.
The role involves troubleshooting deployment failures and ensuring compliance with security and governance standards.
The engineer will lead technical decision-making and mentor junior engineers while promoting DevOps best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 6 years of experience in senior Platform, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
Strong expertise with the AWS cloud platform is required.
Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration is essential.
Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform is necessary.
Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions is required.
A strong understanding of observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Datadog is needed.
Candidates should have a solid grasp of networking, system administration, and cloud security practices.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues are essential.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities are required.
Experience leading projects and influencing engineering decisions is necessary.
Nice to have: Background in SRE practices, familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001), and programming skills in TypeScript, Python, or Go.
