Remote Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) - India

Description:

• This position is for a Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) at Zimperium, located in India.
• The role involves joining a fast-paced engineering team focused on building reliable, secure, and scalable platforms.
• Responsibilities include designing and automating infrastructure solutions to accelerate development, simplify deployments, and strengthen system resilience.
• The engineer will work on cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and automation frameworks.
• The position requires collaboration with multiple teams to solve complex technical challenges and implement best practices for DevOps.
• It is a hands-on role that directly contributes to operational excellence, developer productivity, and customer success.
• Key accountabilities include designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions, enhancing infrastructure security and scalability, building tools and microservices, automating operational processes, implementing automated testing and monitoring, collaborating with various teams, documenting solutions, building CI/CD solutions, and promoting DevOps best practices.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in DevOps engineering.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud, AI tools, and GitHub Actions is necessary.
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Shell/Bash are required.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, JFrog, and CloudFormation is essential.
• Solid knowledge of Linux systems (Ubuntu/CentOS) and network administration is needed.
• Experience with SQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch, or Redis is required.
• Expertise in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm) and Helm charts is necessary.
• Familiarity with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, Oracle) is required.
• Experience with cloud networking (DNS, WAF, Security Groups, NACL) and user management (IAM, STS, roles, groups) is necessary.
• Knowledge of CI/CD platforms like GitLab CI, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions is required.
• Experience with observability tools and monitoring platforms is essential.
• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset are necessary.
