Omnidian, Inc. is a fast-growing Series C tech-enabled service company focused on performance assurance for the distributed solar and energy storage industries.
The Senior Platform Engineer will report to the Platform Engineering Manager and is essential for the reliability and performance of Omnidian's production Resolv platform.
The role involves working closely with the Platform team, developers, and product stakeholders to identify issues, improve workflows, and develop infrastructure-as-code solutions with self-service interfaces.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining tools and frameworks to enhance site reliability and operational efficiency of the Resolv platform, creating an observability platform, developing organizational standards for container management, and maintaining Kubernetes infrastructure.
The engineer will also collaborate with development teams to create shared frameworks, automate CI/CD workflows, develop self-service interfaces, create comprehensive documentation, and evaluate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or a closely related field, with a proven track record of building and maintaining production systems.
Strong experience with Kubernetes is required, including deploying, scaling, and troubleshooting workloads in production clusters.
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools, particularly Terraform, is necessary for provisioning, managing, and standardizing cloud resources.
Hands-on expertise with cloud providers, preferably AWS, is essential, including designing, securing, and scaling highly available environments.
A solid understanding of networking, security, and system design concepts related to distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure is required.
Experience in automating workflows and operational tasks using scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash is needed.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices to improve deployment speed, reliability, and developer experience is important.
Candidates should be able to work collaboratively across teams, balancing long-term platform strategy with immediate operational needs.
