Second Front Systems (2F) is looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Platform Engineer to join their team.
The role involves leading technical efforts to deploy their DevSecOps platform, Game Warden, onto multi-cloud fabrics.
The company aims to accelerate the adoption of emerging technology in the national security ecosystem, including the Department of Defense.
The position requires U.S. citizenship due to government contract requirements, and candidates with existing security clearance are highly desired.
Responsibilities include architecting, improving, implementing, and operating a cloud-native platform for software as a service offerings.
The engineer will conduct research, experimentation, and development to deliver Game Warden onto classified fabrics.
The role involves working in a cross-functional team to build, test, validate, and operate Game Warden in compliance with security standards.
The engineer will collaborate with government representatives to provision and secure cloud-based resources for research and development.
The position offers the opportunity to gain DoD 8570 compliance and work in a fast-paced agile environment.
Responsibilities also include establishing benchmarks, prioritizing efforts across initiatives, and documenting new solutions.
Requirements:
Candidates must have architect-level experience in designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based infrastructure.
Deep expertise in containerization and in-depth experience with Kubernetes and cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform is required.
Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Pulumi in Golang and crossplane is necessary.
Candidates should be able to develop, optimize, and debug code, as well as design and implement microservices in Golang or Rust.
Experience in implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines is essential.
Strong communication, interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills are required.
Candidates must have expertise in DevSecOps principles and familiarity with Gitlab, Google Workspaces, and Slack.
A Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required, along with availability to travel up to 25% of the time for on-site configurations.
Preferred qualifications include 5-7 years of relevant experience, certification as an AWS/GCP/Azure Solutions Architect, and experience in systems administration or software engineering.

The base salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $195,000.
