The company is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their remote Platform Engineering team.
This role involves ensuring a seamless experience for developers and users by improving infrastructure, automating tasks, and enhancing development tools with AI.
The engineer will architect and build scalable, highly available systems that serve millions of users and large sports organizations.
Responsibilities include designing and building systems using technologies like Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and GCP.
The engineer will collaborate across teams to identify pain points in the development lifecycle and build tools to improve efficiency and reliability.
The role includes incident response, system reliability optimization, and ensuring smooth platform operation for an exceptional user experience.
Requirements:
Strong analytical and communication skills are required, along with experience working with product engineers and participating in on-call rotations.
Proficiency in at least one core language (GO, Node/Typescript) is necessary for automating and improving operational efficiency.
Candidates should have experience guiding and mentoring engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Experience as a technical lead for large projects on high-scale, distributed software systems is essential.
Direct usage of SQL and general database administration knowledge is required.
The ability to debug complex issues in a distributed system is necessary.
Experience contributing to automated build and deployment systems is also required.
