Apex Companies is seeking a highly motivated and hard-working Senior Project Engineer specializing in Water-Wastewater in Tulsa, OK.
The role involves providing engineering technical support for team projects in water/wastewater infrastructure.
Responsibilities include conducting engineering design tasks, which encompass calculations, permitting, and inspections for water and wastewater projects.
The engineer will analyze and implement state and federal regulations governing water and wastewater systems.
The position requires supervising the preparation of permit applications, overseeing project operations, and generating comprehensive technical reports.
Field visits to project sites will be conducted to evaluate current and future construction limitations.
The engineer will collaborate in identifying and addressing safety concerns related to project tasks.
Engagement in Site Civil Engineering is expected, including site assessment, erosion control, SWPPP, grading, and materials design.
The role also involves developing specifications and formulating plans for site civil work.
Remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
Requirements:
Candidates must be a Licensed Professional Engineer with project management skills and possess 8 to 10 years of engineering experience.
A valid driver's license, good driving history, and reliable transportation are required.
Familiarity with water treatment for surface and groundwater sources, including precipitation/settling, chlorination, filtration, ion exchange, and membrane treatment is essential.
Knowledge of proper design of support operations associated with system storage and distribution systems is required.
Familiarity with wastewater collection and treatment systems, including solids separation, extended aeration, MLE, SBR, MBBR, and MBR, as well as storage, transmission, and disinfection systems is a must.
Experience with effluent disposal and soil assessment is considered a plus.
Candidates should have experience interpreting and applying regulatory requirements, project coordination, client interaction, construction project management, estimating, and scope writing.
Proficiency with MS Office suite and Adobe is required.
