Remote Senior Python Developer

Description:

• Koombea is seeking a Senior Python Developer for a remote position in LATAM.
• The role requires full-time commitment and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

• The main responsibilities include building application models and coding the logic for user-facing components and databases of web apps.
• The developer will focus on performance, usability, accessibility, and adaptability of applications.
• Key tasks include integrating user-facing and server-side components, building reusable code and libraries, optimizing app performance, implementing security measures, designing data storage solutions, maintaining codebases, and deploying web apps.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in writing scalable Django backends and working with relational databases is a must-have.
• Experience in developing apps with React, React Native, or Flutter is a nice-to-have.
• Familiarity with matchmaking, database migration, and DevOps skills, along with some understanding of Edtech and machine learning, is a nice-to-have.
• Must understand async structures, race conditions, and basic RESTful APIs.
• Experience with end-to-end ownership of systems, including running deployments and leading incident responses, is required.
• A desire to stay updated with best practices and conventions is essential.
• An Agile and Scrum mentality is necessary.
• Testing capabilities are required.
• English proficiency at a B2 level is required, and Spanish proficiency at B2+ or native level is preferred.
