Description:

  • The QA Center of Practice (CoP) is the hub for quality excellence, driving best practices, innovative testing, and continuous improvement across all products.
  • The Senior QA Automation Engineer will design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks across multiple platforms.
  • This role involves acting as a technical leader, mentoring engineers, shaping the automation strategy, and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions with organization-wide impact.
  • Key responsibilities include leading the design, architecture, and implementation of automated testing frameworks (UI, API, mobile, performance), collaborating with QA Leads, Engineering Managers, and Product Owners to define and execute automation roadmaps, and providing mentorship and guidance to QA Automation Engineers.
  • The engineer will research, evaluate, and recommend automation tools and methodologies, create and maintain automated test scripts, integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, develop clear reporting on test results, promote coding standards, debug automation failures, and work closely with developers and PMs to align on quality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years in QA with a strong focus on automation.
  • A solid knowledge of software testing theory is required.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain automation frameworks using Java, Kotlin, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python is essential.
  • Expertise with frameworks/tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, Rest Assured, JMeter, and Gatling is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of API testing using tools like Postman and Rest Assured is required.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins) is needed.
  • Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (e.g., BrowserStack) and exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is important.
  • Candidates should have an understanding of microservices and event-driven architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills are essential.
  • Strong communication and mentoring abilities are required.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working independently and in agile teams.
