The Senior QA Engineer will help test the drone software platform to ensure high-quality releases for first responders.
The role primarily focuses on manual testing for web products while also advancing test automation.
Responsibilities include planning, testing, and certifying software for release, creating and maintaining test cases and plans, performing manual end-to-end testing, writing detailed defect tickets, validating implementations, and developing automated tests for both UI and API.
The position advocates for quality throughout the engineering team.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience manually testing web-based or mobile software in an agile environment.
Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes is required.
Experience with test case management tools such as TestRail is necessary.
Candidates must have experience with API level testing and familiarity with API testing tools and automation.
A strong understanding of HTTP protocols, headers, status codes, and payload validation is essential.
Experience writing automated tests and scripting using Selenium and Nightwatch.js is required.
Candidates should be able to switch gears between focus areas depending on testing needs.
A passion for exploring new functionality to find potential bugs and edge cases is important.
