• The company is looking for a Senior R&D Inkjet Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and scaling of inkjet-based systems for dental appliances.
• This role involves addressing complex challenges such as ink formulation, print process integration, and surface-material interaction.
• The engineer will be responsible for innovating, developing, and deploying automated inkjet systems to meet quality standards in the dental industry.
• The position requires collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and external partners to deliver best-in-class solutions for customers globally.
• Key responsibilities include leading R&D projects, driving ink formulation, evaluating inkjet technologies, conducting root-cause analyses, and establishing process controls.
• The engineer will also train and mentor technical teams, publish findings, and set ambitious targets for the team.

Requirements:

• An advanced degree (MS/PhD preferred) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Candidates must have deep knowledge of inkjet printing principles, including drop formation and printhead design.
• Hands-on experience with ink formulation and characterization, including rheology and particle-size control, is essential.
• A background in ceramics processing and sintering behavior is necessary.
• Proven experience in solving complex printing issues such as nozzle clogging and pooling is required.
• Experience in scaling production processes and maintaining consistency across multiple lines and machines is needed.
• Strong experimental design and root-cause-analysis skills are essential.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities are required.
• The ability to present to executive teams in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
• Candidates must be willing to travel internationally 30% of the time.
• High growth startup experience is a plus.
