The company is looking for a Senior R&D Inkjet Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and scaling of inkjet-based systems for dental appliances.
This role involves addressing complex challenges such as ink formulation, print process integration, and surface-material interaction.
The engineer will be responsible for innovating, developing, and deploying automated inkjet systems to meet quality standards in the dental industry.
The position requires collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and external partners to deliver best-in-class solutions for customers globally.
Key responsibilities include leading R&D projects, driving ink formulation, evaluating inkjet technologies, conducting root-cause analyses, and establishing process controls.
The engineer will also train and mentor technical teams, publish findings, and set ambitious targets for the team.
Requirements:
An advanced degree (MS/PhD preferred) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have deep knowledge of inkjet printing principles, including drop formation and printhead design.
Hands-on experience with ink formulation and characterization, including rheology and particle-size control, is essential.
A background in ceramics processing and sintering behavior is necessary.
Proven experience in solving complex printing issues such as nozzle clogging and pooling is required.
Experience in scaling production processes and maintaining consistency across multiple lines and machines is needed.
Strong experimental design and root-cause-analysis skills are essential.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities are required.
The ability to present to executive teams in a fast-paced environment is necessary.
Candidates must be willing to travel internationally 30% of the time.
