The Senior Revenue Data Analyst will join a dynamic Accounting team in Mexico City, Mexico, focusing on US GAAP, revenue systems, and core data skills.
This role involves cross-team collaboration with various departments including Technical Accounting, Operational Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, and Legal.
Responsibilities include reviewing data using SQL and Python, conducting in-depth data analysis, designing accounting data requirements, and leading operational improvement initiatives.
The analyst will monitor data quality of journal entries, work on revenue reconciliation processes, and perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities.
The position offers opportunities for ad hoc analyses and projects as assigned, in a remote-friendly environment.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is required.
Candidates must have 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analytics, and/or business intelligence.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 Revenue Recognition is required; knowledge of IFRS is a plus.
Intermediate to advanced SQL skills are necessary, along with the ability to work with large volumes of transactional data; Python skills are a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as the ability to adapt to changing work environments.
The candidate must be able to interact with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally.
