Remote Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

Description:

• Ventrata is seeking a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their dynamic team of developers.
• The role involves optimizing and refactoring the ‘Dashboard’, integrating new payment processing methods, and developing new features as per the product roadmap.
• Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code, managing databases and external services, and integrating user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• The developer will identify bottlenecks and bugs, devise solutions, maintain code quality, conduct code reviews, and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues.
• Candidates can work remotely or from shared office spaces in Brno and Lisbon, and those based in Europe are encouraged to apply.

Requirements:

• The ideal candidate should have expert knowledge of Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Cloud is required.
• Candidates must possess intermediate English language skills.
• Familiarity with Hotwire/Turbo/Stimulus is preferred.
• The candidate should be a fast learner who thrives in a dynamic scale-up environment and is adaptable to changes.
• Previous experience with a ticketing system is a plus.
