  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Rails Engineer to join our dynamic development team.
  • In this role, you will play a key part in architecting and building scalable, robust, and maintainable web applications.
  • You will provide technical leadership, mentorship, drive technical excellence, and proactively contribute to the evolution of our tech stack.
  • Responsibilities include designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable Ruby on Rails applications.
  • You will write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams using the API first paradigm to design and implement APIs.
  • Ensure the application is optimized for speed, reliability, and scalability.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver features that meet user needs.
  • Mentor other developers and foster a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and push to strive for high-quality code standards.
  • Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure robust software performance.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks, security issues, and system limitations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

Requirements:

  • You must have 3+ years of professional experience developing web applications with Ruby on Rails.
  • A passion for writing readable, maintainable, elegant code and utilizing appropriate design patterns is essential.
  • You should have a strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience with database design and optimization.
  • Knowledge of background job processing systems (e.g., Sidekiq, Resque) is required.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design and development is necessary, with bonus points for GraphQL experience.
  • You should have familiarity with cloud platforms such as Heroku and AWS.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Working hours are expected to be in the ET (New York) timezone.
  • You will observe US holidays.
