Contentful is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to help customers understand the role of content in a modern digital landscape.
The role involves working closely with Account Executives through various phases of the sales cycle, including technical discovery, product presentations, and proofs of concept.
The Senior Sales Engineer will build relationships with customer stakeholders to understand their needs and provide guidance on digital marketing technology.
This position offers the opportunity to impact sales results and influence the direction of the Sales Engineering function within a growth-oriented company.
Responsibilities include onboarding, mastering the Contentful Demo presentation framework, understanding the competitive landscape, and validating how Contentful can assist in digital transformation.
The role also involves assisting with RFIs, RFPs, and providing mentorship to junior Sales Engineers.
Travel to customer sites may be required, and participation in internal projects that enhance the Sales Engineering team is expected.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.
Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
Willingness to travel up to 50% is necessary.
Candidates should thrive in a fast-paced environment and have 3-5 years of sales engineering experience selling cloud solutions to Marketing, IT, and Development audiences.
A strong understanding of the Digital Marketing function and the KPIs used to measure success is required.
Candidates must possess strong presentation skills to convey business and technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
A high degree of emotional intelligence is needed to navigate meetings with various customer stakeholders.
Intellectual curiosity about how technology drives change and its business value is important.
Desirable qualifications include 1-3 years of experience in designing digital experiences or frontend development, familiarity with Content Management Platforms, and knowledge of solution selling methodologies.
