The role is for a Senior Scala Engineer with strong backend engineering skills and experience in building systems at scale.
The engineer will design, enhance, test, deploy, and own Scala microservices that deliver business and user value.
Responsibilities include working on distributed, cloud-based systems, ensuring reliability, observability, and thorough testing.
The engineer will collaborate closely with Engineers, Product Managers, and other cross-functional partners to deliver outcomes.
The role involves contributing to architectural discussions and influencing system design across teams.

Adaptability is key, as the engineer will apply engineering fundamentals across languages and frameworks when needed.
Requirements:
Professional experience delivering backend systems in Scala and Akka, along with non-trivial projects in at least one other backend language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, Kotlin).
Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and distributed systems.
Experience with cloud microservices architectures, preferably AWS, and CI/CD workflows.
Familiarity with SQL and document databases is required.
A proven track record in building and maintaining production systems at scale is essential.
The candidate should be comfortable adapting to evolving technical landscapes and learning new technologies quickly.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, pragmatic approach are necessary.
