Remote Senior SDET (Playwright + Javascript/Typescript)

Description:

• Simpplr is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr. SDET) who views quality as an integral part of the engineering process.
• The role involves being part of a cross-functional product team, contributing from story grooming to release.
• Responsibilities include building test frameworks, validating assumptions early, and ensuring a fast and reliable delivery pipeline.
• The position is hands-on and focuses on embedding quality into every layer of the stack.
• Key tasks include engineering quality across the lifecycle, building scalable test systems, leveraging data to drive quality, integrating with CI/CD workflows, and collaborating across disciplines.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in quality engineering or SDET roles.
• Strong coding skills in JavaScript and Playwright, along with experience in frameworks like Cucumber BDD, JUnit, or TestNG are required.
• Hands-on experience with UI testing and tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or JMeter for API testing is necessary.
• Experience in integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins, is essential.
• The ability to build test strategies, manage test data, and debug across the full stack is required.
• Personal attributes should include an ownership mindset focused on proactive problem solving, excellent collaboration and communication skills, and comfort in fast-paced product environments.
• Bonus points for experience with performance or security testing, exposure to microservices or cloud-native testing approaches, and certifications such as ISTQB or agile quality credentials.
