The Senior Security Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the organization’s security posture by implementing, managing, and maintaining security tools, technologies, policies, and processes.
The role involves direct involvement in security operations, incident response, threat detection, and customer support, with a focus on AWS environments and enterprise-level security tooling.
The Senior Security Engineer will collaborate closely with CloudOps, Development, and IT to enhance security, risk, and privacy measures.
This position will also play a critical role in mentoring other Security Engineers.
Responsibilities include participating in daily security operations, managing security tooling, supporting incident response efforts, collaborating with customer support, assisting in policy development and compliance, contributing to security audits, and evaluating current technology architecture.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Information Security and/or Cybersecurity position is necessary.
At least 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS security services and tools such as Crowdstrike, Qualys, and M365 Advanced Threat Protection is required.
Experience maintaining or contributing to SOC2 Type II certification and compliance efforts is essential.
Experience in a data architecture environment, understanding of data privacy regulations, and familiarity with GRC solutions and a common control framework for data regulations is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly are required.
The candidate must be able to work on-call in a 24/7 rotation after the first 3-6 months.
