The Senior Security Engineer will lead application security efforts across the platform, working closely with engineers, designers, and product managers.
Responsibilities include leading application security initiatives, collaborating with product engineers, driving threat modeling and security reviews, building security-focused tooling, participating in security incident response, representing the security team in product planning, maintaining secure development standards, and participating in an on-call rotation.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience working with engineering teams to secure customer-facing applications.
A minimum of 4+ years of experience securing full-stack applications using modern JavaScript frameworks and backend technologies is required.
Candidates should have 3+ years of experience building or reviewing authentication, authorization, and session management flows.
2+ years of experience in cloud-native environments with knowledge of container and service mesh security is preferred.
Familiarity with secure coding practices and static/dynamic analysis tools is necessary.
A strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and secure design principles is required.
Experience conducting security code reviews and participating in SDLC security checkpoints is essential.
