The Senior Security Engineer will report to the Director of Information Security and can work in a hybrid model from Newmarket or remotely.
This position requires working 32 hours across a 4-day week with a salary range of £65,000 - £75,000.
The role involves ensuring effective security measures are integrated within Beyond’s use of AWS and throughout the DevSecOps lifecycle.
The Senior Security Engineer will lead assurance activities such as penetration testing, purple teaming, and application security assessments.
Responsibilities include driving key security initiatives, identifying security risks, providing expert security guidance, supporting incident response processes, and managing one team member.

Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in a security role, demonstrating a proven track record at a senior level.
Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISA, CISSP, or equivalent are desirable.
Knowledge of security compliance standards including Cyber Essentials, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST is required.
Applicants should have experience assessing, planning, and implementing cloud security controls, particularly with AWS.
Familiarity with cloud security platforms like AWS GuardDuty, Inspector, and Control Tower is necessary.
Proficiency in DevSecOps practices and common scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python is expected.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with a proactive mindset, are essential.
Candidates should be self-starters capable of taking ownership of work and comfortable collaborating across teams.
