Canva is seeking an experienced Senior Security Engineer to join their Digital Forensics & Incident Response (DFIR) team, which is crucial for safeguarding Canva's systems and data.
The role involves acting as an escalation point and incident coordinator for security incidents across Canva's systems.
Responsibilities include actively responding to security events from detection through to resolution, monitoring internal and production systems for possible attacks, and contributing to the knowledge of peers on the security team.
The position requires proactively running threat detection exercises, building out tools for security incident management, maintaining incident response documentation, and participating in post-incident reviews.
The Senior Security Engineer will also participate in the on-call roster for security incident response and identify trends and emerging threats that may impact the business.
Requirements:
Candidates must have strong experience in security incident response and coordinating complex investigations.
A solid background in building and maintaining security tooling and infrastructure is essential.
The ideal candidate should have experience mentoring and developing others, as well as leading small technical teams.
A passion for improving systems and processes to prevent future incidents is required.
Candidates should be comfortable working with cross-functional teams and communicating clearly under pressure.
