The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will work with the SRE team and engineers on infrastructure-related tasks.
The role involves making current and future products more reliable, secure, and cost-efficient while reducing toil through automation.
Responsibilities include infrastructure development in AWS and Google Cloud, collaborating with engineers and product leads to implement features, and proactively identifying areas for improvement in reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
The engineer will facilitate future development by enhancing existing infrastructure, code quality, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines.
The position requires maintaining system uptime to meet service level objectives (SLO) and participating in incident handling with on-call rotations on a best-effort basis.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with infrastructure development in AWS and Google Cloud and the ability to propose architecture designs independently.
Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools, preferably Terraform, is required.
Candidates should be proficient in at least one backend programming language, such as Golang or Python.
Experience with container orchestration frameworks, preferably Kubernetes, is necessary.
A willingness to explore unfamiliar codebases written in Rails, TypeScript, or Golang is expected, although direct contributions to product features are not required.
Candidates must be able to work in Japan Standard Time, with some flexibility for partial JST work.
Business-level English skills are required.
