Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) are responsible for keeping all user-facing services and other GitLab production systems running smoothly.
As a Senior SRE, you will automate operational tasks, maintain systems, develop monitoring and alerting systems, respond to emergencies, enhance security measures, and collaborate with other engineering teams.
You will work on projects related to cloud security practices, GitLab core projects, infrastructure automation, and observability stack.
Requirements:
You must have experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies, particularly with Terraform.
You should be able to reason about large systems and their operational aspects on a large scale.
Proficiency in GoLang or Ruby is required, with experience using GoLang as a programming language.
You should enjoy collaborating with peers to deliver unique solutions to technical challenges.
Familiarity with using GitLab as a daily tool is necessary.
Experience in interacting with customers and a focus on resolving their requests with urgency is essential.
