The company is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer with strong software engineering expertise to evolve and support the reliability of their cloud platform.
This role is part of the Infrastructure Engineering function and is critical for ensuring the performance, scalability, and availability of systems and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate will design and build systems, focusing on automation, tooling, and resilient architecture for high availability and fault tolerance across an AWS-based platform.
Key responsibilities include building internal tools, designing fault-tolerant systems, developing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, leading architecture reviews, defining service-level indicators, automating reliability processes, collaborating with teams, participating in post-incident reviews, and joining an on-call rotation.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure roles in modern, cloud-native environments.
Strong software engineering skills are required, with experience in writing production-grade code, preferably in Java, Python, Go, or similar languages.
A deep knowledge of AWS infrastructure and services, including VPC design, IAM, ECS/EKS, and networking fundamentals, is essential.
Proven experience in designing and scaling distributed, event-driven systems and understanding their operational failure modes is necessary.
Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production, including multi-region deployments, service meshes, and runtime observability, is required.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices, and infrastructure automation using tools like ArgoCD, Terraform, or Helm is needed.
A solid grasp of system performance, reliability engineering, and the tradeoffs between availability, latency, and scalability is important.
