The role of Site Reliability Engineer in the Service & Asset Management team involves developing, deploying, and maintaining tooling and automation solutions to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities include programming, debugging, and SQL skills, taking ownership of customer issues, collaborating with teams to troubleshoot technical issues, and developing innovative solutions.
The engineer will also enhance product knowledge, apply engineering concepts, ensure product performance, support corrective actions, maintain automation processes, create documentation, and engage with stakeholders.
Requirements:
A University degree or equivalent professional qualifications in software/system engineering is essential.
At least 1 year of enterprise-level experience with Oracle Database, CI/CD tools (GitLab, Bitbucket, GitHub Actions, ADO, Jenkins, Bamboo), container orchestration (K8s, helm), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), containerization (Docker), and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python, GoLang).
Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure in Azure (specifically AKS), AWS, or GCP, along with Azure service administration and operations.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical teams.
A proactive attitude towards learning new technologies and processes, with a strong sense of initiative and responsibility.
Ability to work well in a team, especially in a geographically dispersed environment, and a willingness to accept challenges with enthusiasm.
Quality assurance experience, including testing, automation, and test data management skills, is desirable.
