BLEN is seeking a Senior Software Developer I - Drupal Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Drupal-based websites and applications.
The role involves developing, customizing, and maintaining Drupal websites and applications while collaborating with project managers and other developers to define project requirements and specifications.
Responsibilities include implementing responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using Drupal themes and templates, writing clean and maintainable code, and managing pattern libraries.
The developer will perform site-building activities, integrate third-party APIs, troubleshoot website issues, conduct peer code reviews, and evaluate Drupal security notices.
Staying updated with the latest trends in Drupal and web development technologies is essential, along with supporting migration initiatives to newer Drupal versions.
The developer will participate in team meetings, create technical documentation, and optimize website performance to ensure scalability.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years' experience developing in Drupal 8 and 9, along with experience migrating to Drupal 10.
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies is essential, as well as experience with integrating contributed modules and creating Twig templates.
Familiarity with Drupal's API and hooks system, knowledge of version control systems like Git, and understanding of web accessibility standards are required.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary.
Candidates should be able to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred skills include Drupal Certification, knowledge of front-end frameworks like React or Angular, experience with AWS, and familiarity with DevOps practices.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens or legal residents and able to work domestically, and they must be able to attain low-level security clearance.
