Acre Security is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their R&D Team, working remotely under an Employer of Record (EoR) agreement.
The role involves owning the technical delivery and evolution of Acre Identity products and platforms, ensuring quality, maintainability, and alignment with business goals.
Responsibilities include delivering robust and maintainable code using Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, C#, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
The engineer will champion engineering standards, scalability, and security practices within the team.
The position requires driving innovation and mentoring team members through design reviews and technical guidance.
Additional tasks include architecting and implementing reliable, performant services and integrations, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex technical issues, and documenting architectural decisions and development guidelines.
The engineer will support DevOps and QA teams in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release readiness, collaborate with product stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align priorities, and provide mentorship and coaching to engineers across levels.
Requirements:
Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server is required.
Proven experience in designing secure, scalable, and maintainable systems is necessary.
A strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns is essential.
Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and test automation is required.
The candidate must be a clear communicator with a collaborative mindset.
Awareness of secure development principles and common vulnerabilities, along with a willingness to support remediation of issues identified through vulnerability scans/testing, is needed.
Bonus points for experience with Windows Services and DLL-based architecture, knowledge of Azure-based deployments and hybrid infrastructure, hands-on experience with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, SCIM), and familiarity with physical access systems and security-related platforms.
