Description:

  • Acre Security is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to join their R&D Team, working remotely under an Employer of Record (EoR) agreement.
  • The role involves owning the technical delivery and evolution of Acre Identity products and platforms, ensuring quality, maintainability, and alignment with business goals.
  • Responsibilities include delivering robust and maintainable code using Microsoft technologies such as ASP.NET MVC, C#, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
  • The engineer will champion engineering standards, scalability, and security practices within the team.
  • The position requires driving innovation and mentoring team members through design reviews and technical guidance.
  • Additional tasks include architecting and implementing reliable, performant services and integrations, leading troubleshooting and root cause analysis of complex technical issues, and documenting architectural decisions and development guidelines.
  • The engineer will support DevOps and QA teams in maintaining CI/CD pipelines and release readiness, collaborate with product stakeholders and cross-functional teams to align priorities, and provide mentorship and coaching to engineers across levels.

Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server is required.
  • Proven experience in designing secure, scalable, and maintainable systems is necessary.
  • A strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns is essential.
  • Familiarity with GitHub, CI/CD workflows, and test automation is required.
  • The candidate must be a clear communicator with a collaborative mindset.
  • Awareness of secure development principles and common vulnerabilities, along with a willingness to support remediation of issues identified through vulnerability scans/testing, is needed.
  • Bonus points for experience with Windows Services and DLL-based architecture, knowledge of Azure-based deployments and hybrid infrastructure, hands-on experience with authentication protocols (SAML, OAuth, SCIM), and familiarity with physical access systems and security-related platforms.
