As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will develop and maintain infrastructure, platforms, and developer tools, including CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
You will support web (Java, React, PostgreSQL) and mobile (React Native) applications, standardizing AWS deployments and CI/CD practices.
The role involves building security, metrics, logging, and deployment tooling to ensure system reliability and scalability.
Responsibilities include designing a robust cloud platform, improving developer velocity, leading best practices in cloud infrastructure, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent training and work experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
Candidates should have 5–10 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Software Engineering roles.
Deep expertise in AWS and its ecosystem of services is necessary.
A proven track record in building cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) is required.
Strong experience with container orchestration and serverless architectures, including ECS/Fargate and Docker, is essential.
A solid understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, route tables, and load balancers, is needed.
Hands-on experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CircleCI, GitLab CI, etc.) is required.
Strong experience with scalable backend systems, including microservices, APIs, caching layers, and various databases, is necessary.
Experience deploying and managing React and other JavaScript applications using AWS services like CloudFront and S3 is required.
Candidates should have experience setting up comprehensive monitoring and alerting for infrastructure, services, and data pipelines.
Skills in identifying, diagnosing, and preventing production issues through effective observability and troubleshooting (NewRelic, DataDog) are essential.
A commitment to building secure systems with best practices in access control, encryption, and secure deployment pipelines is required.
Experience communicating and collaborating with engineering and product team stakeholders is necessary.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities is required.
Candidates must be able to work in Eastern or Central time zones, either 9 - 5 Eastern or 8 - 4 Central.
