The Senior Software Engineer (Agentic Systems) will be a technical driver for the Tavus Conversational Video Interface (CVI) product.
This role is hands-on and primarily focused on adding agentic capabilities to the company's Replicas.
The engineer will work closely with product and engineering leadership to enhance human-computer interfaces.
Responsibilities include owning the development and delivery of new agentic systems and features, shaping user interactions with real-time systems, contributing across the full product stack, and ensuring system observability and reliability.
Requirements:
Candidates must be fluent in Python and possess great knowledge of open-source agent frameworks.
Deep experience in building complex production-grade LLM-based agentic systems is required.
The candidate should be comfortable stepping out of their normal comfort zone and willing to learn on the fly.
A thriving attitude in ambiguous and fast-changing environments is essential, as the state of the art evolves rapidly.
A senior mindset is necessary, with the ability to set direction, own decisions, and drive projects to completion.
Excellent communication skills are required to convey complex ideas clearly and teach others.
Additional experiences that may be beneficial include GPU management, extensive experience with low-level systems, and experience with decentralized systems.
