Fleetio is seeking a product-minded and team-oriented Senior Software Engineer with experience in data-driven AI experimentation to join the Product Engineering team.
This role offers the opportunity to shape Fleetio's AI strategy and develop AI-powered features that will enhance fleet operations.
The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering and product leaders, contributing to Fleetio’s roadmap and influencing AI investment directions.
As a founding member of the AI Engineering team, the engineer will implement new features and promote AI best practices within the wider Product Engineering team.
Fleetio is a modern software platform that assists thousands of organizations globally in managing their fleet operations, having raised $450M in Series D funding in March 2025.
This position is remote and open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
A minimum of 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and Python is required.
At least 2 years of experience in building and deploying successful AI-enabled solutions is necessary.
The ability to test and validate models is essential.
Familiarity with AI and ML frameworks is required.
Knowledge of machine learning algorithms such as Linear regression, Logistic regression, Decision tree, and Bayesian methods is necessary.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or related fields is required.
