Remote Senior Software Engineer, AI & Data

Description:

• Fleetio is seeking a product-minded and team-oriented Senior Software Engineer with experience in data-driven AI experimentation to join the Product Engineering team.
• This role offers the opportunity to shape Fleetio's AI strategy and develop AI-powered features that will enhance fleet operations.
• The engineer will collaborate closely with engineering and product leaders, contributing to Fleetio’s roadmap and influencing AI investment directions.
• As a founding member of the AI Engineering team, the engineer will implement new features and promote AI best practices within the wider Product Engineering team.
• Fleetio is a modern software platform that assists thousands of organizations globally in managing their fleet operations, having raised $450M in Series D funding in March 2025.
• This position is remote and open to candidates in the United States, Canada, or Mexico.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails and Python is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in building and deploying successful AI-enabled solutions is necessary.
• The ability to test and validate models is essential.
• Familiarity with AI and ML frameworks is required.
• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms such as Linear regression, Logistic regression, Decision tree, and Bayesian methods is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or related fields is required.
