AlphaSense is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Expert Research mission, which drives all expert call services at the company.
The role involves working with a collaborative group of full-stack teams responsible for internal systems supporting over 9,000 monthly expert calls and enhancing user engagement with content in the AlphaSense frontend.
The tech stack includes Ruby on Rails, Java, Vue.js, and React.
Responsibilities include streamlining workflows for over 250 analysts, integrating third-party data sources, creating new content flywheels, collaborating with ML teams to embed AI into the product, and contributing to frontends used by tens of thousands of users daily.
The position reports to the Engineering Manager and is part of a diverse Product & Engineering team that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of software development experience building highly reliable, mission-critical software.
A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals, including algorithmic complexity, asynchronicity, and distributed computing, is required.
Good knowledge of design and architecture concepts is necessary.
Familiarity with Agile software development processes and software testing is expected.
Experience in shipping pragmatic and high-quality solutions with a sense of urgency is essential.

Benefits:
The base compensation range for this position is $167,000 - $205,000 USD, with final offer amounts determined by factors such as candidate experience and expertise.
Candidates may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
