Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our mission of revolutionizing payments for service-based companies by building the robust, scalable infrastructure that powers our accounts receivable automation platform.
• In this role, you will architect and develop core backend services, design event-driven data pipelines, and ensure the reliability and performance of systems that process critical financial transactions for our clients.
• You will work closely with Product and Operations teams, leveraging your expertise in Go (or other similar language) and distributed systems to deliver high-quality features rapidly while maintaining the transparency, dependability, and partnership values that define Alternative Payments.

Requirements:

• You should have 4–7 years of experience in professional software development, with mid- or senior-level responsibilities.
• Strong proficiency in Go (or a comparable backend language) and SQL (Postgres or equivalent) is required.
• You must be comfortable with event buses/queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• A solid testing discipline, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, is essential.
• Familiarity with Git workflows, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines is necessary.
• You should be a quick learner who thrives in a fast-moving environment.
• A detail-oriented problem solver, especially around data consistency, is important.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate as a team player are required.
