Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• Atomic Industries is building an advanced manufacturing company by combining the industrial expertise of Detroit with the innovation of Silicon Valley.
• The company aims to accelerate the manufacturing process by applying artificial intelligence to geometry, process planning, and fabrication.
• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Platform Engineering team, you will transform research into scalable, production-grade software for engineers, machinists, and customers.
• You will work across various services and systems, including CAD, mesh pipelines, simulation infrastructure, and web APIs.
• Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable backend systems and APIs, maintaining services for geometry processing, and improving CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements:

• You must have 7+ years of experience in building and deploying production software at scale.
• Proficiency in at least one systems language (Go, Rust, or C++) and one scripting language (Python preferred) is required.
• Experience in designing and scaling distributed systems, data pipelines, or high-performance compute services is necessary.
• Hands-on experience with distributed computing, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
• You should be comfortable working in hybrid environments, including bare-metal GPU systems.
• Excellent communication skills are required to explain complex ideas clearly in writing and conversation.
