Description:

• Coder is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who is enthusiastic about shaping the future of cloud-based development.
• The role involves driving the development of open-source products through core technology advancements, enterprise features, and developer tooling.
• Responsibilities include designing and building product features that enhance remote development in self-hosted environments.
• The engineer will create and improve popular open-source projects that integrate with VS Code, JetBrains, and other developer tools.
• Mentorship and guidance around contribution best practices will be provided to both internal team members and external contributors.
• Collaboration with Product and Design teams at Coder, as well as partners like JetBrains, is essential for executing key product integrations.
• The engineer will document the design, implementation, and operations of systems for knowledge sharing within the team.
• Working alongside Customer Success teams to support Coder’s enterprise user base is also a key responsibility.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be currently based in the United States or Canada.
• A minimum of 4 years of full-stack experience writing code in a professional setting is required.
• Strong proficiency in building distributed systems in Go is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for this role.
• Exceptional debugging and troubleshooting skills, along with the tenacity to drive solutions to conclusion, are required.
• Candidates should be self-motivated with a creative and analytical mindset.
