  • The Senior Software Engineer, Backend will contribute to backend services that support the company's suite of products.
  • Responsibilities include writing and maintaining APIs, managing data modeling, handling events, and ensuring scalability for a growing customer base.
  • The role can be performed remotely in the San Francisco Bay Area or in a hybrid model at the NYC headquarters (Tuesdays & Thursdays in-office).
  • The engineer will own projects from design to implementation, collaborating with stakeholders on business impact, reliability, operability, and security.
  • The position involves producing high-quality, testable, and readable code while mentoring newer team members.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Experience in leading and owning end-to-end product development and technology initiatives is required.
  • Ability to break down work into manageable tasks and partner with operational teams is essential.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with various functions and stakeholders is necessary.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment, a bias for action, and a passion for self-improvement and mentoring others is expected.
