The role of Senior Software Engineer - Backend involves driving major projects to unlock new capabilities for users while building scalable, secure, and maintainable production systems.
Responsibilities include developing new features, tools, frameworks, and workflows, ensuring application performance and security, and participating in on-call rotations to resolve production issues.
The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of backend solutions, industry frameworks, APIs, databases, and programming languages such as Java and Python.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience as a backend Software Engineer.
A minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced SaaS or similar business environment is required.
Experience with server-side Java and Python software development, particularly with frameworks like Spring and Django, is essential.
Proficiency in SQL and RDBMS, ideally PostgreSQL, along with familiarity with ORMs is necessary.
Candidates should have the ability to visualize and build proposed systems and troubleshoot technical issues in complex systems.
Effective communication skills within the team and across the organization are required to share insights and collaborate on project goals.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $207,000 per year, based on qualifications, education, experience, and location.
The position is also eligible for stock options.
