Remote Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Relocation to the UK)

• The role is for a Senior Software Engineer, Backend, with relocation to the UK, including full visa sponsorship and a relocation bonus.
• The engineer will build a platform for Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Simulation Engineers to create, train, and deploy physics-informed models.
• Responsibilities include taking ownership of work from implementation to production, ensuring quality, scalability, and observability.
• The engineer will work in a cross-functional team and gather domain knowledge from end users to refine software engineering practices.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a passion for the evolving craft of software engineering.
• The ability to work collaboratively and effectively in cross-functional teams is essential.
• Proficiency in both Python and Go is required.
• Candidates should be willing to take ownership from implementation to production, including testing, containerization, continuous integration and delivery, authentication/authorization, and telemetry/observability/monitoring.
• A working understanding of messaging in event-driven systems is necessary, with experience using tools such as NATS, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Some experience in developing applications for Kubernetes is preferred; having a CKAD certification is a plus but not required.
