Remote Senior Software Engineer

Description:

• The Senior Software Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping product approach and technical strategy, collaborating with PMs, Designers, and other engineers.
• This position involves leading architecture for initiatives, mentoring other engineers, and focusing primarily on backend systems while also contributing to frontend work when necessary.
• Responsibilities include partnering with product teams, creating technical approach documents, guiding execution, and driving improvements in system stability and performance.
• The role requires attendance at company-wide on-site events three times per year.
• The technology stack includes Python, Django, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and AWS.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including full stack development.
• Proven experience in shaping product direction and technical approach from early idea to delivery is required.
• Proficiency in Python/Django, PostgreSQL, and React/TypeScript is essential.
• Strong system design skills, including considerations for scalability, performance, and security, are necessary.
• Experience with high domain complexity systems such as financial ledgers or multi-system data syncs is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable with cloud-based environments, preferably AWS, and CI/CD workflows.
• Alignment with Benepass's engineering values and collaborative culture is expected.
• A passion for leveraging AI to enhance efficiency and deliver high-quality results is desired.

Benefits:

• The position offers a base salary of $195,000 to $215,000 plus equity.
