The Senior Software Engineer will work on The Machine project, focusing on developing and maintaining high-quality, responsive web applications using React and Next.js.
Responsibilities include optimizing applications for speed, scalability, and SEO, implementing server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG), and collaborating with designers and back-end developers.
The role requires writing clean, modular code, ensuring cross-browser compatibility, integrating with RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints, and staying updated with industry trends.
Requirements:
Strong experience in React, including hooks, context API, and state management.
Strong experience in Next.js, specifically with SSR, SSG, API routes, and middleware.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3, including Sass and CSS-in-JS.
Experience with state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.
Familiarity with front-end build tools like Webpack, Babel, or Vite.
Knowledge of testing frameworks including Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress.
Understanding of performance optimization techniques.
Experience with version control systems like Git and platforms such as GitHub or GitLab.
Bonus experience includes working with headless CMS, knowledge of backend technologies like Node.js, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment platforms.
