Remote Senior Software Engineer (C/C++, Secure Access)

Description:

• We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Keeper Connection Manager (KCM) team.
• This is a 100% remote position with an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule for candidates based in the El Dorado Hills, CA area.
• As a Senior Software Engineer on the Keeper Connection Manager (KCM) team, you will help design and build the next generation of secure remote access solutions used by enterprises worldwide.
• KCM is a privileged access management (PAM) tool that enables secure, credential-free connections to infrastructure.
• You will work on core backend components using C and C++, focusing on performance, reliability, and end-to-end security.
• The role requires deep experience with system-level development, secure communications, and real-time networking.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing core KCM features in C and C++, working with secure protocols, optimizing performance, contributing to design and architecture, participating in agile development cycles, collaborating with various teams, and maintaining code quality through testing.

Requirements:

• You must have 7+ years of professional experience in C and C++ development, with systems-level programming experience.
• You should have 5+ years of experience in full-stack software development, including Java, JavaScript, and database technologies.
• Strong knowledge of OS internals, networking, and multi-threaded application design is required.
• Familiarity with secure protocols and technologies including SSH, RDP, VNC, and TLS is necessary.
• Experience with cloud environments and DevOps tools is expected.
• You must demonstrate experience with secure coding practices and encryption implementations.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience) is required.
