The Senior Software Engineer will join the Nexthink Engineering department, focusing on building Collectors, which are endpoint agents running on employee systems.
Collectors extract information about the operating system, interpret it, and feed it to data analytics systems, helping to remediate issues and improve user experience.
The role involves creating reliable solutions across multiple platforms (Windows, macOS, and Linux) while maintaining cross-platform compatibility.
Engineers are expected to tackle broad problems, prototype ideas, and implement them in production while adhering to high standards of quality, performance, and security.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience in software development.
A strong understanding of operating systems internals is required.
Experience in software development on Windows and/or macOS platforms at an OS level is necessary.
Proficiency in C++ is essential, with a preference for familiarity with the latest standard iterations.
Proven experience in leading or contributing significantly to major projects is required.
Candidates should consistently write concise and well-tested code.
The ability to navigate and debug complex code with strong attention to detail is necessary.
OS-level research capabilities are required.
Experience in kernel-mode software development and multi-platform development is advantageous.
Candidates should enjoy working in a dynamic environment, be result-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills.
